We value your right to privacy. We only collect the data required to run (how many trees need to be planted, show step counts in the leaderboard...) and improve your experience on our products).
Directly transmitted information
Information you explicitly choose to share with us when you email us directly or via a contact form where some fields are mandatory (first and last name, company or email address).
Automatically collected information
In ou Application, we collect the following information:
Our iOS and Android applications use the number of steps already captured and stored by their respective operative system. We need the number of steps you walked to know how many trees we need to plant on your behalf (we only ask permission to read the steps in Apple Health and Google Fit) (mandatory).
If someone uses a connected object (Garmin, fitbit...) the steps are collected via the Spike Service API. That only concerns the number of steps. More information on the Spike API terms of service page.
If a user chooses to enter a nickname, we'll collect it in order to show it in the leaderboard. A user can compete without sharing their name. They will appear as “Anonymous participant” in the leaderboard. Their trees will be planted (optional).
We collect the model of the phone and OS version to help debug when people have technical issues (mandatory).
The first time a user uses the app, we create a randomly-generated unique ID for a user. It is used exclusively in our application, and not shared with any third party (mandatory).
We use the data you share with us to help with or reply to your enquiry.
Google Analytics collects "web analytics" anonymously (by saving anonymous IP addresses). We use it to understand the amount of traffic coming to our site, the content viewed and potential bugs to improve the experience of our users.
We use Mixpanel to understand what people tap on, in order to help us improve the app experience. As our unique user ID is not shared with Mixpanel, there is no way to identify a specific user.
This data is used by Treely and will not be passed on to a third-party for uses other than those describe in this document. We will never sell this data with third parties.
All the data we collect will be stored for a maximum of 3 years.
We use the following cookies:
Google Analytics cookies: web analytics
Mixpanel (anonymised data: number of steps, number of trees planted): web analytics
You can request to view, update or completely delete all your personal data.
